grade 5/ updates and hw nov. 21
Chumash: We are learning in Sefer Beresheet, Parashat VaYeshev, perek 37.We are presently learning about the selling of Yosef. We are working on three psukim from Rashi: 22, 23, 24.
Navi: Shoftim perek 3: the Shofet Ehud Ben Gera. We are completing this perek. The students will have a test on this perek.
Mishna: We are continuing according to the Bonayich syllabus. We are completing our study of the skills of Mimikra L'Mishna. Once we complete this skill, we will start learning mishnayot.
Halacha: Next week we will begin the laws of Chanuka. The students are working on a Power Point project on the topic of Chanuka.
HW: to study for the Chumash vocab. quiz on 10 words for tomorrow.

6th grade update nov. 21
Chumash: We are working on Parashat BeShalach perek 14, on three psukim in Rashi: 10, 15, and 19. After Thanksgiving we will beging Shirat HaYam.
Navi: Shmuel perek gimel. We are completing this perek which speaks about Shmuel becoming a Navi of Yisrael and the punishment of Beit Eli.
Mishna: We are working on our skills: the different Tekufot and how the Sanhedrin moved from place to place. up till the time of Rav Yehuda Hanasi.
Halacha: In two weeks we will begin our study of the laws of Chanuka and meanwhile the students are busy working on their puppets for our Chanuka puppet show.
HW for tomorrow: To study for the Chumash vocab. quiz on the 10 words.
