Fourth Grade Judaic Update for Jan. 13

B"H
Shalom Fourth Grade Parents,
Just a short update for fourth grade Judaics. In Chumash we completed the study of the birth of the shevatim ( tribes) and continue to learn about Yaakov's preparation to leave Lavan's home and return to Eretz Yisrael. The students have worked on different skills such as: who said to whom? how is it written in the Torah? looking for shorashim ( roots),reading Rashi, and expanding their Chumash vocabulary. The students had a Chumash vocab. quiz and did very well. We also use the Tal Am workbook in our classroom to enhance our knowledge and skills further.
In Navi: We completed perek gimel about the splitting of the Jordan River and will work on reading from the text. The students received a prep sheet for their vocab test which will be this Thursday.
We have also begun working on our Purim play. More about that later on.
Please remember to encourage your child to share the D'var Torah on the parsha each week.
Have a Shavua tov!
Rabbi Elbaz
