Hakarat Hatov: Sixth Grade Shabbaton letter
B"H
Dear Sixth Grade Parents,
We had an amazing Shabbaton this weekend and since one of our themes this Shabbat was "hakarat hatov", ( showing appreciation), it would be very remiss of me not to show appreciation to those that made this Shabbaton a great success. So big thank you's go to the following people:
To Rabbi Kahn and Mrs. Sapp for approving and supporting our program.
To the wonderful people at Torat Emet : Rabbi Zack, Rabbi Epstein, Mrs. Kalef, Rabbi and Mrs. Unterman, and George, for all their help and divrei Torah.
To Mrs. Karan Tanenbaum for all the delicious food she prepared for us.
To our parent volunteers: Mrs.Malca Makias who helped organize the rotation and supervised Sat. night, Mrs. Wolfson and Mrs. Horwitz who supervised Sat. afternoon, Mrs. Yael Levy who supervised Sat. night, Mrs. Lauren Levy who walked the boys back Fri.night, Mr. Noam Even who did a beautiful musical Havdala for us.
To the Harsteins and Kalef families, once again , thank you for hosting the children at your homes and to Mrs. Hartstein for joining us Fri. night.
To all the sixth grade parents, thank you for the beautiful flowers and to Mrs. Kahn for the wonderful presents.
And finally, last but certainly not least, thank you to our own sixth graders who helped plan all stages of our Shabbaton from designing place cards, songpackets and menus, planning activities, delivering beautiful divrei Torah and participating so beautifully in all the zemirot and singing throughout our meals both at my home and in the shul. Your children behaved beautifully and cooperated so nicely to make this weekend a meaningful and memorable one.
In deep appreciation,
Rabbi Tzion Elbaz
