B"H
Shalom U'vracha Sixth Grade Parents,
We had a busy week in Kita Vav.In Chumash the students were tested on prakim 7 and 8: the beginning of the makot ( plagues). We will continue this week with the makot of frogs, lice and wild animals. As usual we worked on our Chumash vocabulary, understanding Rashi and accurate reading from the Chumash text.
In Navi we completed prakim 11 and 12 and will continue in the next prakim ( chapters) to learn about the wars of King Shaul ( Saul), his sin in the war against Amalek and the selection of David as next king of Israel. The students will be working on a new "film "project on one of the topics in Navi.
In Mishna we completed perek aleph in Masechet Avot . This Thursday there will be a test and the students will receive a guideline for review..
In Halacha we began our study of the laws of Pesach in the new packets I gave out. We are almost done with the first packet which covers the laws up till Pesach and will continue with our own Hagada packets that we will work on till our model seder. There will be a test on the laws TBA before Pesach break.
Parsha: Please sign and return the parsha sheet if your child shared this week's D'var Torah with you.
Thank you and Shavua Tov!
Rabbi Elbaz
