Sixth Grade update for April 21

B"H
Shalom U'vracha Sixth Grade Parents,
We had a very busy week in Kita Vav. In Chumash we will be completing Parshat VaEra this week, start Parshat Bo and learn about the last of the plagues and the preparation for the exodus from Mizraim, with the first mitzvot. We are also working on our Chumash vocabulary and reviewing old vocab along with new while looking for the shorashim ( roots). In Navi we will begin perek 15 and learn about the war with Amalek. In Halacha we completed our Lag B'Omer, Shavuoth packet and will have our test this coming Friday, B"H. We will spend time reviewing during this week. In Mishna we will begin Masechet Bikurim from Seder Zeraim in honor of Chag HaShavuoth which is fast approaching. Please sign your child's parsha page if they shared the D'var Torah with you.
Good Luck to our sixth graders on their Achievement Tests this week!

Fourth Grade update for April 21

B"H
Shalom U'vracha Fourth Grade Parents,
We had a busy week in Kita Daled. In Navi we completed the war of Yisrael and Ai and also the punishment that Achan Ben Karmi received by taking from the spoils of war ( the cherem). This week we will continue to learn about the conquest of Eretz Yisrael under Yehoshua and the story of the Givonim who trick Bnei Yisrael into making a treaty with them. They pretend to have come from far away and get Bnei Yisrael to agree to a peace treaty with them. When Yehoshua discovers their deceit he makes them the water bearers and wood cutters for Am Yisrael. In Chumash we will complete our worksheets from last week and finish up our Chumshilonim for Parshat VaYeitsei. In Halacha we will continue to work on our Sefirat HaOmer and Shavuoth packet. Please don't forget to sign the parsha sheet if your child shared the D'var Torah with you.
Good Luck to our Fourth graders on their Achievement Tests this week!

Shalom Fourth Grade Parents,
We had a very busy week in Kita Daled. In Halacha we are learning from our new packet on Lag B'Omer and Shavuoth. The students will get review sheets to help them focus on the important details of the packet.
In Chumash we continue with perek 31 and learn about Yaakov Avinu's return to Eretz Yisrael and Lavan's chasing after him. The students, here too, will get review sheets to sum up the material and help with retention. We will be learning Rashi on pasuk 15.
In Navi we are finishing up perek 8 and the conquest of Ai. In addition to review sheets to help retain knowledge, we are also continuing our 2 projects: a/ the conquest of Yericho and b/ our Comic book for Sefer Yehoshua. We will next learn about the Givonim.
In Parsha your child brought home the parsha sheet. Please make sure it is returned signed so I know they shared it with you.
