B”H

RABBI ELBAZ’S SIXTH GRADE JUDAIC UPDATE/ MAY 5TH

I hope you all enjoyed viewing the amazing Chagim projects at our Achievement Fair . Your students designed games that reviewed all the laws of the different Chagim ( holidays) and the results were simply outstanding.

In Chumash we finished learning about the plague of the locusts and this week will learn about the Darkness and the first mitzvoth Bnei Yisrael got before the last plague of the First Born. We will also work on Rashi for pasuk 22.

In Navi we will complete our study of perek 15: the war of Shaul against Amalek and Shaul’s sin and punishment. We will start work on perek 16: the choosing of David to be the second king of Am Yisrael. A test on perek 15 will be this Friday.

In Halacha the students were tested on the Omer, Lag B’Omer and Shavuoth and we will work on a power point project about Megilat Ruth.

In Mishna we started Masechet Bikurim , mishna gimel and the students will get comprehension questions on all 3 mishnayot.

Shavua Tov!

Rabbi Elbaz
